This absolutely fantastic shawl evokes admiration everywhere!
The pattern of the shawl is inspired by the Dutch tiles that are found in the old Fanø houses. In this case, it is the star pattern that has inspired me to design this shawl.
The shawl has a very beautiful organically shaped border, which winds around the graphic expression of the star tile.
The shawl is hand-knitted in supersoft lambswool.
The measurements are approximate, as all the shawls are hand-knitted.

TILE STAR SHAWL
The shawl is hand-knitted in Sri Lanka. It takes 3 - 4 weeks to knit this shawl, or converted into hours, about 200 hours, depending on the complexity of the pattern and the knitter's skill level.
Since 2012, I have been supporting a social project where knitters sit around their local communities in "centers" in Sri Lanka and knit. This enables them to support their entire families. Every year I select new patterns to be knitted in Sri Lanka. These are usually different patterns than those that were knitted the year before.
