Beautiful rectangular hand-knitted scarf with motifs in 11 beautiful colours. The scarf is inspired by the traditional Fair-Isle scarves, where bands with various classic motifs are knitted. I have given the scarf a more modern Seyfarth "twist" with different and larger motifs in the bands. The model is also available in an autumn color combination.

The scarf is knitted in SEYFARTH's supersoft lambswool from Scotland.

  • The Seyfarth Fair-Isle scarf is hand-knitted in Sri Lanka. It takes many hours to knit this scarf, depending on the level of the knitter.

Since 2012, I have supported a social enterprise where 60 knitters for 3 months a year sit around in their local environments in "centres" in Sri Lanka and exclusively knit my designs. The knitters are thus able to provide for their entire family. And I get the most beautiful handknitted garments. So this collaboration is a great benefit for both parties.

The knitters are paid fairly and the work provides flexible employment for these women who live in rural Sri Lanka. When you buy one of these pre-knitted models, you are helping to strengthen women's status as breadwinners in rural Sri Lanka, support their families and avoid migration from their communities.

These scarves are of high quality craftsmanship, in addition to being timeless and timeless in design.
