PATTERN without yarn
QUADRANT SHAWL - PINK/LIME. In my store on Fanø, I have a special piece of knitting that I use to show my customers how to knit fair-isle, what steek stitches looks like and how balls of yarn are rolled up into base and pattern colours. This is a piece of knitting with a pattern that has emerged almost by chance.
Still, many people have asked me if I could create a "real" pattern for this particular piece of store-knitting.
So consider it done.
This shawl is handkknitted in alpaca and lambswool. Small and large quadrants float on a basecolour of black alpaca. The lovely fan border with its natural shape is a serene contrast to the graphic quadrant pattern.
